Two new Data Centers located in France and Singapore are now live. EU-1 and AP-1 will expand our presence in the world with a modern data center built with what we learned from previous experiences in North America. The objective of this change is to reduce the latency of requests for you and your customers. Instead of your customer pinging the US server from Australia for example the request is sent to the Singapore server. The request difference goes from 1s – 500ms to 300ms – 100ms.
Behind the scenes, the new regions store long-term analytics as well. As a Visitorkit customer in the EU, you have the option to send your data to Visitorkit’s EU data center and have your data stored exclusively in the EU.
Later this year expect a new region coming to Brazil and additional data centers in North America and Asia-Pacific.
